IRON MOUNTAIN — Robert Earl “Bob” Baldinelli of Iron Mountain, died Nov. 25, 2021. He passed away at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was cremated at that time.

Robert, was born Oct. 18, 1928, to the late Joseph Baldinelli and Irene (Varvil) Baldinelli in Green Bay, Wis.

Bob is survived by a son, Dennis Baldinelli; and daughter, Debby Izirein (Ehi). He leaves behind four grandchildren, Ailohi, EmiJoy, Jesi and Ese Izirein, as well as four nieces, Terry, Linda, Robin and Judy. Bob was also preceded in death by his former wife and the mother of his children, Joyce Baldinelli.

Bob grew up in Kingsford, where he graduated from Kingsford High School in 1946. It was during his high school years that his industrious spirit and drive for doing business was developed. The quote about him in his high school yearbook states “You were a regular at the station, why not at school.”

He began working early in his life and did not stop until his last few months, as he would still “go to the office” even in his 90s. He began his own business by buying a bus and selling car parts throughout the area. He later began to sell used cars and also to rent cars and owned and operated a local Avis for many years.

He had several other business operations including owning an auto body shop and a bar, buying and selling equipment and leasing out various properties and apartments. When Bob was not working, he enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially following the Green Bay Packers.

We would like to invite Bob’s family and friends to join us at an open house at the El Capitan Supper Club in Spread Eagle, Wis. on May 14, from 2:30 to 6:30 pm Bob chose not to have any kind of service, but we hope friends can stop by for an informal time to remember him and honor him.
